Altova Releases Japanese Language Version of XMLSpy 2010, the First
FULLY LOCALIZED SOFTWARE NOW GIVES USERS ACCESS TO ALL OF THE
POWERFUL FUNCTIONALITY AVAILABLE IN THE INDUSTRY-LEADING XML EDITOR
BEVERLY, MA -- (MARKETWIRE), 1 March 2010 -- Altova(R)
(http://www.altova.com), creator of XMLSpy(R), the industry leading
XML editor, today announced that XMLSpy 2010 is now available in a
fully translated Japanese language version. The first product in
Altova's all-new Japanese v2010 product line, XMLSpy has been
completely localized enabling users to take advantage of the same
powerful functionality available in its English and German
counterparts for editing, transforming, and debugging XML-related
technologies. The new Japanese edition of XMLSpy is available at the
same cost as the English version and current XMLSpy 2010r2 users can
now unlock any language version using their existing key code.
"By bringing the localization services in-house we are demonstrating
our commitment to the Japanese market and ensuring that our Japanese
customers have access to all of the powerful functionality that has
made XMLSpy the industry-leading XML editor," said Alexander Falk,
President & CEO at Altova. "The new fully localized Japanese edition
of XMLSpy 2010r2 replaces the previous partially translated version
and is the first product to be completely translated with others soon
to follow. Additionally, translating our software in-house allows us
to pass that cost savings on to our customers, which is a huge
benefit as companies continue to look at ways to reduce spending."
Altova plans to release Japanese language versions of our other
products in the coming months followed by Japanese reference manuals
and a Japanese website.
With the latest release of XMLSpy a host of new performance
enhancements have been added, including a native 64-bit version. The
new 64-bit version allows users take advantage of the speed and
performance optimizations associated with 64-bit operating systems
while processing XML files that are 100 MB or larger*. With the
64-bit version of XMLSpy, the only limitation for working with very
large files should be the available memory on the user's machine. For
users working in Text View in either the 32 or 64-bit versions,
v2010r2 contains optimized loading times - up to 10 times faster -
for files 10 MB or greater. XML Schema-based validation is also now
up to three times faster in Text View. Additionally, users performing
common operations (e.g., copy/paste, etc.) on large files in Grid
View may now experience results 10-100 times faster. This latest
release also introduces an often requested feature allowing users to
compile and run C++ code autogenerated by XMLSpy on the Linux
platform. XMLSpy 2010r2 also now supports the check-in/checkout/undo
checkout versioning functionality on the Microsoft(R) SharePoint(R)
Server as well as support for HTTPS when creating SOAP requests and
debugging SOAP transmissions.
