Is it the end of the adult dating and matchmaking websites now that the social bookmarking and networking sites have come of age. United Kingdom, 10 February 2012 -- The adult dating sites are still holding in there even know there are now social sites where people can meet other individuals for a date or chat. During recent years in the last decade or so the online dating websites have had a very steady client base of customers. The top dating sites at the best of times were making millions of pounds every single year. Anybody who wanted to find a partner before the dating sites came along would just usually go down to their local pub or bar to find a man or a woman. After the first couple of internet dating sites came about the attention then turned to the internet as a way of finding love, but this time online instead. This of course was bad news for the old techniques of going to a bar or using the newspaper to go on dates but great news for the dating sites as they found a new gap in making money. As the next ten or so years unfolded, the internet dating websites were getting bigger and better by the day as word of mouth and advertising started to spread. There were also more and more of them appearing online in the search engines. People and businesses started to take notice and realize that there was an opportunity to cash in as it were and to make money in a new market. A short while after there was an introduction of adult dating sites for people who didn't necessarily want a relationship but just wanted sex or a one night stand with somebody. Not long after the adult dating websites emerged there were all sorts of different dating sites coming out like milf dating websites and disables matchmaking. Up until the point when the social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook came out. These websites were significant as to why the dating sites lost a lot of there customers and didn't receive as many sign ups. There was of course an opportunity for individuals on these social networking sites to meet up and go on dates on them websites instead of the traditional dating sites. The dating websites do still make a sum of money but no where near as much as they used to once upon a time. No one knows if they will always be there and if anybody really ever needs them again. The difference with these social sites and the dating ones are that with the dating sites they are very specific into the area of what people want. For example, if somebody wanted cougar dating, then it would be a lot harder to find that on these social networking websites. Easier tho on a cougar dating site. Whatever anybody wants, they will always know that they are left with the choice and what it comes down to is they know what they want and it's up to them.
