ETS Global Institute Announces 2010 Course Line-Up
Experts Offer "How-To" Assessment Advice to World's Educators and Policymakers
PRINCETON, NJ--(Marketwire), 16 March 2010 -- The ETS® Global Institute, the international training and technical assistance arm of Educational Testing Service (ETS), has released its 2010 course schedule. Similar to previous years, it is expected to draw ministries of education, universities, researchers and professional organizations worldwide who are seeking solutions to their educational measurement challenges.
A distinguished faculty of professional and external assessment experts participates in three modes of training: Scheduled 3 - 5 day courses on topics related to large-scale standardized testing; customized courses tailored to specific client needs; and distance learning.
For 2010, the ETS Global Institute has scheduled five-day courses on the design and development of large-scale assessments for May 3 - 7, July 19 - 23 and Nov. 1 - 5. The March 22 - 26 course will be devoted to psychometric methods. On June 14 - 18, faculty will cover issues in teacher licensure testing and the Sept. 20 - 24 topic will be design and development of performance assessments. For further information, visit http://www.ets.org/etsglobal.
"The Global Institute provides a place where the world's test creators and policymakers can exchange ideas on topical issues," explains Annabelle Simpson, Director of the Global Institute. "Educators, policymakers and testing professionals get practical, 'how-to' advice from experts in the measurement field they can use immediately."
The ETS Global Institute has created customized courses in test question writing and review for educators from Chile, England, Ethiopia, Thailand, Oman and Kyrgyzstan.
