Swensen's celebrates this June school holidays with themed kid's menu and a chance to win trip to USA
Singapore, 5 June 2006 -- Swensen's restaurant in Singapore has launched a series of promotions for this June school holidays, based on "Cars", the latest film created by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. There will be special dine-in promotions from 26th May to 30th June 2006, where up to S$7,500 worth of "Cars" merchandise and a chance to visit the Route 66 in America for a family of four to be won.
In conjunction with the "Cars" promotion, Swensen's shall be hosting 100 children from the Singapore Children's Society for the movie "Cars" on 8 June, at 10 am, followed by a Swensen's "Cars" meal treat, at Swensen's Plaza Singapura outlet after the movie. Singapore Children's Society is the adopted charity of Swensen's for 2006.
"Cars," the seventh animated feature to be created by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures, is a high octane adventure comedy, in which Lightning McQueen, a hotshot rookie race car who was en route across the country to the big Piston Cup Championship in California, finds himself unexpectedly detoured and ends up in the sleepy town of Radiator Springs on the historic Route 66, where he learnt that life is about the journey, not the finish line.
Swensen's has introduced a specially designed "Cars" kid's menu, and will be serving all "Cars" kid's meals on a "Cars" dinner plate, a movie collectable that is exclusive to Swensen's in Singapore. Diners who wish to keep the exclusive "Cars" plate can purchase it at $4.00 with each kid's meal purchased, or at its normal price of S$6.90.

- Snazzy Fish - S$8.60
- Texas Wings - S$8.60
- Rally Meatball Pie - S$6.80
- Fun Pizza - S$6.80
- Speedy Pasta - S$7.80
- Top Dog - S$8.30
Each of the kid's set meal comes with a mini ice cream sundae, made up of bubblegum ice cream topped with coloured jimmies, whipped cream and cherry, and a collectable "Cars" trading card. The trading cards come in a total of five designs, featuring characters in the "Cars" movie; Lightning McQueen, Ramone Octane, Tow Mater, Lugis and Sally Speedy. Kids who have collected all five designs, will stand a chance to win exclusive "Cars" merchandise. The holder of each trading card will be entitled to a 20% off "Cars" ice cream cakes (8 different designs) till 31st July 2006.
While the kids are having fun with the "Cars" trading cards and kid's meals this June school holidays, the adults have not been forgotten.
