Giving Professional Rugby a Helping Hand
InterX Is Confirmed as an Important Part of the Rehabilitation Program for England in the 2007 Rugby World Cup Tournament
PLANO, TX--(Marketwire), 4 February 2008 -- Neuro Resource Group (NRG), the manufacturer of InterX® products, announced that InterX products were included in the rehabilitation programs of several England rugby players in the Rugby World Cup Tournament in 2007.
Jason Robinson received InterX Therapy as part of his rehabilitation program following a hamstring injury during England's first game against South Africa in the World Cup tournament. Phil Pask, the Senior Physio for the England team for the last three Rugby World Cups, explains how he implemented InterX into his treatment protocol.
"I used InterX Therapy as part of our intensive rehabilitation program to see if we could get Jason back into the tournament. With a confirmed grade two hamstring tear, I expected that pain and inflammation would restrict the intensity of and progression through the rehabilitation process. However, using InterX, I was able to significantly reduce Jason's nociceptive pain following the injury and facilitate an intensive manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation protocol which definitely optimized his recovery time. This injury would normally have a 4-6 week prognosis, but Jason was back in full training after three weeks which allowed him to play in the Quarter Final game against Australia -- and ultimately England to progress through to the final."
Jason Robinson went on to play in the Semi-Final against France where he collected his 50th cap and in the Final against South Africa.
