Himawari Food Pte Ltd, the owner of the established Japanese cuisine restaurant, Himawari Japanese Restaurant, today officially launches its bento delivery service, BentoOnCall @ 62787778 as well as the online bento ordering system, BentoOnline @ http://www.bento.com.sg.
"Since the opening of Himawari Japanese Restaurant at SAFRA Mount Faber at Telok Blangah three years ago, we have frequent feedback from the regular customers that we should be offering bento delivery service," said Dennis Tan, partner and Managing Director of Himawari Food.
"When we opened our first branch at 114, Neil road in December last year to cater to the regulars and to capture new customers in the CBD, a customer's survey exercise was conducted to gather further feedback concerning bento delivery service. We were pleased that most of them had indicated that bento delivery to the CBD is highly welcomed even though there are some other lunch box providers. In view of that, with my partner and master chef, Mr. Yoichi Nakaoka and a few good friends, we have decided to launch the service as we can leverage our existing kitchens in both locations."
Initially, the bento menu will includes 12 bento, 3 dons as well as other side dishes and soft drinks. Each bento will include a Main Dish + Rice with Noriwasabu: (Furikake), Croquette, Gyoza, Wakame Salad and Pickles. By keying in the order online, the order will be forwarded to the service staff at Himawari kitchen who will confirm the order with the customers by phone. Pricing for each bento starts at S$8.80 while each don starts at S$6.80 per set.
"To ease the ordering process for the customer and to increase the overall efficiency of our operations, we have selected online payment via ChainFusion's BuyButtonz.com. BuyButtonz is an online payment service which allows us to accept Visa & Mastercard credit cards as well as Internet Banking." said Mr. Yoichi Nakaoka, Executive Chief Chef at Himawari Japanese Restaurant.
Selected bento and other Japanese food will be exhibited and sold during the Food & Beverage Fair 2007 at the Suntec City Exhibition Centre from 14th to 18th March, 11am to 10pm. Demonstration of Japanese delicacy preparation like California maki and as well Japanese "mua chi" will be performed at the booth G33.
