Launch of “Southeast Asian Ceramics: New Light on Old Pottery”

, 19 December 2009 -- Saturday, 19 December 2009
3.30 pm – 5.30 pm
Possibility Room, Level 5
National Library Building
100 Victoria Street

Written and edited by notable archaeologist and scholar John N. Miksic (NUS) and three other contributing authors, “Southeast Asian Ceramics: New Light on Old Pottery” summarises the fruits of the authors’ research in the last 40 years beginning with the founding of the Southeast Asian Ceramic Society (SEACS) in Singapore in 1969.

Don’t miss the launch of “Southeast Asian Ceramics: New Light on Old Pottery” - an essential reading not only for those with an interest in the economic history of the region but for all who seek a better understanding of the brilliant but too often underestimated material culture of our forefathers.

Organised By: Southeast Asian Ceramic Society
