Telcordia Quickly Rolls Out Number Portability for Mexico's 98 Million Mobile and Wireline Subscribers in Less Than 4 Months From Contract Award MEXICO CITY and PISCATAWAY, NJ--(Marketwire - July 14, 2008), 15 July 2008 -- The choice and convenience that wireline and wireless number portability provides is now a reality in Mexico. Just four months after awarding the number portability clearinghouse contract to Telcordia, a global leader in the development of IP, wireline, and mobile telecommunications software and services, the solution was successfully deployed in advance of the national July 5, 2008 go-live date. La Comisión Federal de Telecomunicaciones (COFETEL), Mexico's telecommunications regulator, and the telecommunication service providers awarded the country's number portability clearinghouse contract to Telcordia in March 2008.
