By Asian Civilisations Museum Singapore, 21 August 2008 -- 1 – 25 September 2008 10 am – 9 pm Promenade, Level 9 National Library Building 100 Victoria Street The Dong Son culture thrived during the Bronze Age (600 BCE – 300 CE) and was centered at the Red River Delta region of northern Vietnam. The Dong Son people, who were sophisticated agriculturalists and specialised in bronze casting, created the famous Dong Son drums found widely in Southeast Asia and southern China. Uncover the mystery surrounding the Dong Son drums in this exhibition from the Asian Civilisations Museum and learn how these bronze drums represented the lives of an ancient culture.
