Raffles Hotels & Resorts Invites Travellers to Take the Plunge
SINGAPORE--(Marketwire), 14 July 2010 -- From Siem Reap's outdoor haven near the famous temples of Angkor, to Raffles Dubai's pool with stunning views of the hotel's tropical garden, swimming pools at Raffles properties across the globe provide a relaxing backdrop, complemented with inspiring vistas and thoughtful service.
Raffles Dubai
Raffles Dubai's pool is set against the panoramic Dubai skyline and overlooks the hotel's tropical Botanical Garden. Special features at the pool include a technological marvel that keeps the pool deck cool for bare feet even in the height of summer, two counter-current pools for residents who seek a more challenging water workout and a unique water clock, reminiscent of ancient Egyptian times, which indicates the time of the day with spouts of water. Raffles Dubai's pool has recently been named one of Sixteen of "World's Most Spectacular Swimming Pools" on MSN Travel.
Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor, Siem Reap
Inspired by the ancient bathing pools of the Khmer kings at the temple of Phimeanakas at Angkor, the stunning pool at Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor was named one of Sixteen of "World's Most Spectacular Swimming Pools" by MSN Travel. Replenishing the children's pool are two stone lions, reconstructions of statues that were once found at the temple of Preah Pithou. Refreshing pineapple skewers, cold towels scented with eucalyptus and mineral water spray are offered to residents throughout the day.
Raffles Hotel Singapore
Raffles Hotel Singapore's pool, accessed through Raffles Amrita Spa, is an oasis amidst the city where residents can take a dip after a rejuvenating spa treatment, or relax in one of the deckchairs placed under the scented frangipani trees for a glorious bask in the sun. Overlooking the charming poolside is a full service bar, where guests can enjoy refreshing Singapore Slings, freshly squeezed juices, or indulge in a romantic dinner by the pool. A range of amenities including fluffy pool towels, sun protection products and reading materials are available for the convenience of the residents.
Raffles Hotel Le Royal, Phnom Penh
The two magnificent Rain trees (Samanea Saman) accent the lush tropical landscape of the hotel's exclusive pool, creating a haven of calm in the city of Phnom Penh -- a perfect backdrop for relaxing afternoons or romantic candle-lit dinners. Similar to its sister property in Siem Reap, pineapple skewers and eucalyptus scented cold towels are offered to guests hourly throughout the day.
Raffles Tianjin, China
The latest addition to Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Raffles Tianjin features an indoor pool, heated to keep winter chills at bay. Tall windows span the length of the pool, allowing natural light to fill the space. In the summer, lounge on the outdoor sun deck and soak in the brilliant summer sunshine. The juice bar offers freshly prepared juices as a refreshing thirst-quencher after an invigorating swim.
