Singapore, 8 June 2006 -- Swensen's restaurants in Singapore has brought about a whole new Menu Revolution, with a fantastic spread of all new menu items ranging from signature ice cream sundaes, mega burgers, salads, chowder soups, pizzas, steak, and many more. "We wanted to create a whole new menu that excites our valued customers with many more new menu choices, and also provide a multi-sensory stimulation with color, taste, smell and more," says Ms Susan Tann, General Manager, ABR Holdings Ltd. "Our chefs have worked hard over the last three months, to ensure that this new menu will be Swensen's best ever!" Some of the menu highlights include: 1) Mega Burger (S$12.90) The Mega Burger is perhaps best described as the "mother of all burgers". Larger than many, with an oversized juicy beef patty, ham, bacon, grilled vegetables, crunchy onion, melted cheese, a sunny-side up fried egg, enveloped by hot buns. The Mega Burger comes complete with a nice serving of coleslaw. Fantastic value with a great taste. 2) Sourdough 49ers Beef Burger (S$10.90) Inspired by San Francisco 49ers from the National Football League, this burger brings you the culinary experience for the high energy American football games that have excited many. The burger features the sourdough football buns with thin beef slices braised in light teriyaki sauce and cheddar cheese. A burger for every season, and not just for football! 3) Salmon 'N' Mushroom Pasta (S$13.60) For those who need a dose of healthy fish oils and antioxidants, try the Salmon 'N' Mushroom Pasta, which features smoked salmon and mushroom, sautéed in cream sauce, and a hearty portion of pasta, with a sprinkling of chopped paisley. 4) Almond Crusted Lamb Chops (S$15.90) Bring two nutritious ingredients, almonds, and lamb, together, and you have a wonderful creation in the form of Almond Crusted Lamb Chops. Cuts of lamb, grilled and coated with crunchy almonds, are served with U.S. potatoes and seasonal vegetables. 5) Prawn & Fruit Salad (S$10.30) Fancy a refreshing and nutritious meal during the day? Try the new Prawn & Fruit Salad, with fresh prawns, chunky tropical fruits, crisp lettuce, and topped with mango yoghurt dressing. Perfect for weight-watchers, the health conscious, and anyone looking for a hearty and yet easily digested meal. 6) White Chocolate Blondie (S$11.30, serves 2) Almond-filled rich white chocolate blondie sizzling with maple butter syrup and a shower of pistachios, peanuts and almonds, served in a sizzling pan - perfect for a couple after a meal. A new creative spin-off from the success of the popular Apple Crumble and Banana Crumple that have been enjoyed by Swensen's diners for years. The new menu from Swensen's does not stop here.
