Data already saved on virtual and physical machines can be delivered to any desired NAS device, be it a virtual appliance in the cloud or a physical appliance.

3. Symantec BackupExec

The BackupExec by Symantec makes it possible IT solutions providers and their customers to back up their data directly into Symantec’s storage cloud. This is possible by simply storing servers and window based desktops over a secure SSL connection to the cloud. BackupExec is available in both appliance and off-premises versions for their numerous customers to choose from. This form of disaster recovery provides IT solution providers a faster and effective means of restoring data compared to traditional disaster recovery setup.

4. VMwareʹsvCenter Site Recovery Manager 5

This particular disaster recovery product is targeted at small businesses as VMware aims at making this product pocket-friendly to small businesses. Its virtual machines retail at a price of $500. It operates by using a mix of storage arrays to store, replicate and manage site recovery. It also does not utilize same time replication but updates every 15 minutes instead. This is a great choice for small businesses looking for a cheap and affordable disaster recovery product.

5. ioSafeʹs Shock Proof Drives

This is another disaster recovery product for customers looking for an affordable way to protect their data. These drives are capable of surviving salt water immersion, UV rays and can also survive a crush of more than 5,000 pounds.
