Worldwide Emergency Care Professionals Invited to Speak at AMBEX 2008-United Kingdom
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire), 7 March 2008 -- Emergency care professionals worldwide are being invited to visit and speak at AMBEX 2008, the largest pre-hospital emergency care event outside the USA, to be held at the Harrogate International Centre, Yorkshire, UK, 24 - 26 June 2008.
AMBEX is the foremost pre-hospital and emergency healthcare forum in the UK, providing a unique opportunity for learning, information exchange, debate and networking for all those involved in the emergency healthcare sector.
The event is organised by the recently-formed Ambulance Service Network (ASN) following the merger of the ASA with the NHS Confederation, allowing the ambulance service to work more closely with other parts of the health service community in the UK. The conference provides the unique opportunity to meet and network with health professionals from Ambulance Services across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Gibraltar, as well as colleagues across the NHS. Representatives from other ambulance organisations from around the world are also regular visitors to the show.
This international event should not be missed by those wishing to see and hear the latest, cutting-edge developments in UK pre-hospital and emergency care and by those wishing to submit papers for presentation at the conference.
The AMBEX 2008 Conference theme, 'Leading the Way in Emergency and Urgent Care' will use plenary sessions focussed around service delivery and clinical improvement, to explore how NHS Ambulance Services can be at the forefront of the developments taking place in emergency and urgent healthcare provision. It will be an ideal opportunity to compare the UK experiences to those lessons learned in other countries worldwide.
Call for Presentations
The ASN is now calling for presentation proposals and poster displays from emergency care professionals outside the UK. Proposals for conference papers and posters are welcome from any individual, group, or organisation and especially from front-line staff.
Details of how to submit a presentation proposal can be found at http://www.ambex.net, or queries can be submitted by email to: or via telephone to the Ambulance Service Network on 020 7074 3200. All presentation proposals must be received by Friday 28th March 2008.
AMBEX 2008 also features a comprehensive exhibition demonstrating a wide range of products and services for the sector.
For further information on the event visit http://www.ambex.net.
